Ziah was founded in October 2022 while I was on maternity leave with my beautiful daughter, Isaiah, lovingly known as Ziah within our family.I originally began by selling occasion wear, but quickly noticed that many brands were sourcing from the same suppliers. I knew I wanted to create something more unique and meaningful. As I searched for baby clothing, I found it surprisingly difficult to find neutral, hand-knitted pieces that were locally made.This inspired me to work with local knitters, carefully exploring their craftsmanship to see who could help bring my ideas to life and offer something a little different to the market. Alongside this, I began learning to crochet myself so I could create pieces for my own brand, working closely with my knitters to build Ziah as it is today.All knitwear is handmade in Manchester, where it all began, and now also in Chester, where I’m currently based after moving to Hoole in 2025.Ziah is centred around muted tones with soft pops of colour, using beautiful yarns ranging from double knit and cotton to luxurious alpaca and mohair. While many pieces are more girl-focused, the brand is unisex, and boys’ items can be requested at any time.Our current turnaround time is approximately 4–5 weeks, although some items may be completed sooner.
